Jordan has always had an interest in genetics and she finds plant pathology fascinating. She enjoys the laboratory environment as well as the opportunity to work with plants.

Jordan also has a keen interest in the plant sciences. This interest was fuelled by an internship program she participated in at the Royal Botanic Gardens in 2007. Jordan’s honours project relating to her degree in Agricultural Science dealt with the taxonomy and systematics of plants, she majored in agricultural plant genetics and enjoy both fields. Jordan’s current PhD is focused on stripe rust in Australia is perfect for her as it allows her to work in both of her fields of interest.
