Plant biosecurity is an area of scientific research focused on protecting Australian plants and crops from diseases and invertebrate pests. It incorporates plant physiology, entomology, microbiology, mycology and many other ‘ologies'. Plant biosecurity provides a real-life context for meaningful investigations and activities in your classroom.

This is an opportunity for teachers to learn about plant biosecurity and how you can engage your students in science by investigating plant pests!

Take home free samples of our resources, including activities from our Plant Pest Investigators unit.
